Transfer 1_firmware.LsSetup From the Computer to the Scanner
1. Ensure that your scanner has a fully charged battery, then using the scanner's power supply, plug the scanner into
an electrical power socket. This ensures that if there is a power outage the upgrade will not be interrupted.
2. Take the SD card out of the scanner and put it into your computer.
3. Open the SD card with Windows Explorer. At the top level, there are at least two folders:
Preview
and
Scans
. You
may also have an
Updates
folder. If it exists, delete it. Make sure that you do not use the existing Updates folder.
4. Create a new
Updates
folder at the top level. Make sure you capitalize the
U
.
5. Copy the
1_firmware.LsSetup
file into the new
Updates
folder and rename the file to
firmware.LsSetup
.
6. Remove the SD card from your computer using the Windows safe removal option, and put the SD card into the
scanner.
7. On the scanner, go to
Manage > Service > Firmware Update
and press the
Update
button. The update runs,
completing in about 5 to10 minutes. When the screen goes white, the scanner reboots.
8. After the reboot, take SD card out of the scanner and put it into your computer.

Transfer 2_firmware.LsSetup From the Computer to the Scanner
1. Open the SD card with Windows File Explorer. Delete the

Check that the correct revision number appears.
1. Go to
Manage > General Settings > Scanner Details.
2. Check that the
Firmware Revision
matches the number you wrote down in the
Unzip the Firmware File
section
above.
Your scanner is ready to use.
