FARO Laser Scanner Photon at regular intervals, each of which shall not
exceed a maximum period of one year. A possibility to check proper
functioning of the laser scanner is through the FARO customer service during
the yearly maintenance and certification service. You shall immediately stop
the further usage of the FARO Laser Scanner Photon, if any failure has been
found.
Regarding eye safety, laser radiation from the FARO Laser Scanner Photon

can be regarded as coming from a pulsed laser source. The eye
safety distance is dependent on the requested scan resolution and the X-
Control setting (see also chapter 6.3.1.2). Repetition rate and pulse duration
for the available combinations of resolution and X-Control settings are as
follows:
