Version Info:
Displays the version of the scan server running on the
scanner.

Set IP Address:
Allows changing the IP Address of the scanner.

Restart Software:
Restarts the scan server running on the scanner.

Restart Hardware:
Reboots the internal PC of the scanner.

The Scanner menu

Start Scan
: Starts a new scan, if a connection to the scanner has been
established and the scanner is ready.
Stop Scan
: Stops the scanner during a scan. There might be a short delay
till the scanner stops scanning.
Scanner Parameter
: Opens the Scanner Parameter dialog.
Scanner Administration
: Offers functions for administration of the
scanner.
Shutdown Scanner
: Shuts down the scanner (see chapter 5).
Select Scanner:
Opens the scanner selection dialog (see chapter 6.3.3).
About...
: Displays the version of the FARO Scanner Control.

Status bar
The operating PC is not connected to a scanner.
A connection is being established or is currently interrupted.
A connection between operating PC and scanner is established. The
connection can be ended by double-clicking on this icon.
The scanner is ready for a scan.
