then
restart
the PDA. You can restart the PDA by briefly pressing the stylus tip
into the soft reset opening (see manual of the PDA for details).
After the restart turn on the Wi-Fi (make sure the active sync cable is not
connected to the PDA). After a while a message should appear that a new
network is detected. Click on
Internet
and then on
Connect.

Now a message should appear to enter the WEP key. Enter the WEP key of
the Wi-Fi connection of the scanner (see chapter 8.1).
Note that the key is
case-sensitive
. Click on
Connect
