Does the iPod establish a Wi-Fi connection to the scanner but Apple’s
Safari Browser tries connecting to SCENE Record Mobile without
success? Try to connect with another Internet browser. There are
plenty of them in the iTunes App Store. We recommend to use an
Internet browser called “VanillaSurf”. You can download and install it
on the iPod via iTunes for free.
8.2
SCENE Record Mobile Pages Description
Typically you want to check various scanner parameters before scanning, so
in the next sections all the pages are described in their displayed order.
8.2.1
Scan Page
On the
Scan
page you can actually start the scanning process, stop it,
observe scanning progress and see status messages. If the scanner is ready
to scan its status is
Ready
. You can start scanning by pressing the
Start
Scan
button. While scanning you can observe the scan progress bar.

When the scan is completed the status of the scanner goes back to
Ready
and the entry
Last Scan
will show a link to the scan image. If you follow this
link you should see the image of the just recorded scan. For further details
about viewing scans consult the chapter 8.3.
You can stop scanning at any time by pressing the
Stop Scan
button.
This page will reload itself automatically every few seconds in order to get
the current scanner status. If you are using the iPod Touch and if you want
to turn the iPod in sleep mode after having started a scan to save battery,
you should wait 15 seconds after having pressed the
Start Scan
button
before you do this. After having wakened the iPod again you have to reload
this page manually in order to get the current scanner status. After this
manual reload the page will refresh automatically again.
