FV3000
3. Installation and Inspection
The FV3000 can be placed horizontally or vertically, by using the provided floor mounted fittings. The 19-inch rack
with EIA/JIS standard (height of 4U) can also be installed. In that case, user setting of the slide rails to be attached
to the side of 19-inch rack (EIA/JIS standard) makes it easier to store or take out the system.
Caution
This chapter provides very important information on installation for ensuring the safe operation of the FV3000.
Consider the following conditions when setting-up the FV3000 on-site to increase the reliability of the system,
and to make the most use of its functions.
3.1 Safety Information
Do not place the FV3000 system on an unstable surface (e.g., a rickety table or a slope). This will prevent the
FV3000 from falling off or toppling, and thereby avoiding damage to the machine or injury to a person. The weight
of the FV3000 shall be supported by the bottom plate (rubber feet) to level the machine. The FV3000 may be also
fastened onto the floor using the supplied mounting plates (Refer to
“
3.2 Fastening Mounting Fittings
”
).
The air intake and exit are ventilation holes to prevent heat built-up inside the machine. If these holes are
blocked, it may cause the system to malfunction or fire. Leave a space of at least 100 mm from the holes.
Caution
Avoid installing the FV3000 in the following places.
The ambient temperature falls below 5
°
C or exceeds 40
°
C.
The temperature fluctuates drastically and condensation may occur. (If condensation occurs, be sure to
dry the machine before turning ON the power)
The relative humidity falls below 30% or exceeds 85%.
There is a strong electric field or magnetic field.
There is a heat source nearby.
The machine will be subject to direct vibration or shock.
The machine will be exposed to direct sunlight.
High particle (dusty) environment.
Water, oil or other chemicals are present in the vicinity.

About Setting Environment
-
If this system is used in high particle (dusty) environment, store the system in a dust-proof rack with radiation
performance to maintain the temperature below 40℃ in the rack (JEIDA-63-2000 Class B compliance). Use the following
formula for calculating the system
’
s calorific power: Input current(A)*Input voltage(V)=Calorific power(kcal/h). If you
do not know the input current, select a rack up to the calorific power of 258 (kcal/h).
