Functional Description

Motor with SC speed controller
4.3
4.3.1 Connection functions
The servo motor with integrated SC speed controller supports the following functions and/or opera-
ting modes:
Control of the speed through the voltage at the set value input.
Control of the speed through the coil voltage.
Control of the direction of rotation at the switch input.
Reading out the speed signal at the frequency output.
U
P
(core 1)
Supply voltage for the electronics.
For voltage range, see
section 7 "Technical Data"
.
U
mot
(core 2)
Supply voltage for the motor winding.
For voltage range, see
section 7 "Technical Data"
.
GND (core 3)
Common earth.
U
ntarget
(core 4)
Control voltage for the target velocity.
Voltage range: 0 … 10 V DC | > 1 0 V DC … max. U
P
not defined.
For resolution: see
section 7 "Technical Data"
.
If Untarget > 10 V DC, the speed is regulated to the value corresponding to 10 V DC. This value is
above the nominal speed so that full control occurs. If U
mot
is increased so that the actual motor
speed reaches this target value, it is limited by the speed control to the value corresponding to U
ntarget
= 10 V DC.
The input impedance of this cable is approx. 5 k
.
DIR (core 5)
Switch input for the motor's direction of rotation.
