5. Dangerous goods
5.1 Hazardous goods transport
When transporting hazardous goods (lithium-ion batteries), there are some things to consider. We have
summarized the most important points for you and ask that you pay attention to each individual point.
ATTENTION! Only trained personnel may ship batteries. Personnel trained according to ADR and
IATA may only ship in the original box from FAZUA (FAZUA dealers). Hazardous goods officers are
permitted to repackage. Using a hazardous goods box from another manufacturer (e.g. Bosch)
is NOT permitted!
5.1.1 ADR TRANSPORT DOCUMENTATION
Must be handed over to the courier driver.
As a dealer you will receive the transport documentation already filled out by FAZUA. Please
check it and correct the following information if necessary.
Please do not send any batteries to FAZUA without first contacting FAZUA Service. This delays
the process and leads to higher costs for you as a dealer.
5.1.2 CLASSIFICATION FOR LITHIUM-ION BATTERIES HIGHER THAN 100 WH
Only ship batteries as dangerous goods in type-tested FAZUA packaging and correctly marked.
If the battery is faulty, always inform FAZUA first so that a collection can be ordered.
5.1.3 SHIPPING GUIDELINES
On receipt of the e-bike from the bike manufacturer, the battery are packed in separate packaging.
Please keep this packaging and use it in the event of a battery defect. If you no longer have the packaging,
simply send us a brief email to dealer@fazua.com to purchase the relevant packaging.
