SECTION 6
6-1
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
GENERAL
The 2R-III has been designed for long periods of effi-
cient uninterrupted operation. Careful attention to proper
preventive maintenance, as described in this section,
will ensure and extend trouble-free operation of the unit.
Particular attention to correct lubrication of the unit and
maintenance of the return filter, are probably the two
most vital areas of preventive maintenance required.
The objective of preventive maintenance is to antici-
pate and prevent operational difficulties before they re-
quire extended shut down for costly repairs.
OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE RECORDS
Prepare and adhere to a maintenance schedule. Keep
detailed records of all maintenance performed. Regu-
larly inspect operating and maintenance records for de-
viations from normal operating conditions. Analyze the
records for indications of potential trouble.
NOTE
Occasionally distributors wall receive Service Bulletins
from Leach Company concerning updated maintenance
information. Keep those bulletins with this manual and
make notes at the appropriate places in the manual
referencing the updated information.
