2 Introduction
The appliances of the OBID
®
classic-pro
Family are build for online operation, i.e. the functions will
be controlled by the Host PC over the RS232 interface.
After connecting the RS232 interface and switch on the power supply the Host PC will dispose of
the whole functions.
Details of the functions can be read in the Manual of the OBID
®
classic-pro
ID CPR-Family.
3 Startup
Setup:
The Reader ID CPR.02.VP/AB-AT is ready to connect with the RS232 interface. Select a
location where it is not in the direct vicinity of similar devices or computer monitors, since
these devices can interfere with data exchange between the Reader and a Transponder
Power connection:
The Reader is powered via the female coaxial connector at the end of the interface cable.
The output of the power supply must have between 12 to 24 V / DC and 700 mA. To this
the power supply ID NET.12VDC-B Order No.: 1688.001.00 is available.
The connection occurs in accordance with illustration below:
Connection of the RS232 interface:
The connection of the RS232 interface to a host computer can be done over the 9 pin D-
Sub socket.
Assembly:
Attach the adhesive label to clean and non-greasy casing after the function of the Reader
was tested.
