The antenna is connected directly to the Reader using the connection cable and SMA connector

For fixed installations be sure that the cable is routed at least 20 cm away from the antenna as
shown in Fig. 3. Avoid the hash-marked area when routing cable.

After assembly is complete you can check for proper antenna function using the transponder. At a
minimum separation of 10 cm from metal and a 45 x 76 mm

transponder oriented parallel to the
antenna, you should be able to achieve a range of at least 30 cm vertical over the center of the
antenna.
