Wear protective gloves.
Danger of injury due to
sharp-edged accessories.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or signs
onto the power tool.
If the insulation is damaged,
protection against an electric shock will be inef-
fective. Adhesive labels are recommended.
Do not use accessories which are not specifically
designed and recommended by the power tool
manufacturer.
Safe operation is not ensured
merely because an accessory fits your power
tool.
Clean the ventilation openings on the power tool at
regular intervals. The motor blower draws dust
into the housing.
An excessive accumulation of
metallic dust can cause an electrical hazard.
Hand/arm vibrations
Whilst working with this power tool, hand/arm
vibrations will occur.
Adopt the correct working practices in order to
reduce the exposure to vibration:
– in the case of strong vibration, take the rec-
ommended work breaks or change your task
more frequently,
– keep your hands warm,
– whilst working, only grip the power tool as
firmly as necessary,
– only work with machines and grinding wheels
that are in perfect operating condition,
– for machines with an adjustable speed, select
the speed according to the FEIN instructions,
avoid any resonance,
– use the FEIN vibration-absorbing, gel working
gloves,
If these recommendations are not observed, the
exposure to strong vibration during daily work
over a longer period of time can be detrimental
to health.
The maximum exposure values stipulated in the
industrial safety directives (e. g. in directive
2002/44/EC, a maximum daily exposure limit of
5 m/s
2
relating to a normal duration of 8 hours )
must not be exceeded.
The value of the estimated weighted accelera-
tion obtained in the laboratory can serve for
predicting the exposure to vibration. During
work, weighted accelerations will be dependent
on the particular application, and deviation from
this laboratory value can occur.
