Disassembly and cleaning the burner unit

to remove the burner unit:
•  Disconnect the electrical power supply and turn off the gas ahead of the boiler.
•  Extract the safety thermostat bulb (part 8 fi g. 19) from its housing sheath.
•  Disconnect the power cable from the gas valve.
•  Disconnect the piezoelectric igniter cable.
•  Unscrew  the  nut  fi xing the gas feed pipe ahead of the gas valve (fi g. 14). On model

unscrew the 2 nuts.

•  Unscrew the two nuts attaching the combustion chamber door to the cast iron elements of 

the boiler (fi g. 15).

•  Remove the burner assembly and combustion chamber door.
At this point, check and clean the burners. Only use a non-metallic brush or compressed air to clean 
the burners and thermocouple; never use chemical products.

On completion, fi t it all back together in reverse order.
