Main burner burns badly
Incorrect flame.
Adjust the main burner gas pressure (see technical data table in par. 4.3).
Smell of unburnt gas
Boiler dirty.
Check and clean the boiler shell.
Poor flue draught.
Check the efficiency of the flue draught.
Poor ventilation.
Ventilate the room more.
Incorrect excess flame adjustment.
Check the flow rate to the gas meter and the burner pressure (see par. 4.3).
No increase in temperature with boiler working
Incorrect flame.
Check that gas consumption is regular.
Boiler dirty.
Check and clean the boiler shell.
Boiler inefficient.
Check that the boiler is adequate for the heating system.
The control thermostat switches back on with too great a temperature difference
Control thermostat broken.
Change the thermostat.
Thermostat bulb out of its sheath.
Check that the bulb is properly inserted.
Boiler condensation
Incorrect control thermostat setting.
Set the thermostat on a higher temperature (min. 50° C).
Low gas consumption.
Check that the gas consumption is in line with the technical data table of par. 4.3.
The boiler goes out for no apparent reason
Fume thermostat trips.
Check for any obstructions in the flue and lastly reset the fume thermostat by hand.
Safety thermostat trips.
The boiler is in over-temperature, see par. 3.3.
N.B.
To avoid unnecessary expense, before calling the Technical Assistance Service make sure that
the boiler has not stopped due to no electricity or gas.
