Warning
Danger of injury from parts flying through the air!
Pre−stressed springs may be ejected suddenly during dismantling. Sudden re
lease of internal spring forces (e.g. when dismantling the housing cover) may
cause injury.
S
Do not dismantle the clamping unit.
Note
Lateral loadings on the clamping rod damage the internal clamping component.
S
Make sure that the piston rod is only loaded in the direction of movement.
The use of a self−aligning rod coupler (see Accessories") will avoid lateral
forces.
Note
Movement of the clamping rod against the clamping forces creates high wear on
the internal clamping component and the clamping rod.
S
Make sure that the static holding force is never exceeded. Otherwise the
piston rod may possibly move unexpectedly.
S
Make sure that dynamic forces are always less than the permitted holding
force (see chapter Technical data).
S
Make sure that the clamping unit is fitted as follows:
You can still gain access to the control sections even at a later stage.
The product must be fastened free of mechanical stress and bending.
The fastening must always be on the side opposite the braking direction.
