Commissioning carrying out (checking the clamping force)
Warning
Danger of crushing! Uncontrolled advance of piston rod.
If the clamping force of the clamping unit is no longer sufficient, the movable
parts of the pneumatic components can cause uncontrolled movements.
Uncontrolled movements of the connected actuators can cause personal injury
or material damage.

Check the clamping force in accordance with the specified mounting posi
tions.
The specified test examples correspond to the maximum applications. De
viating applications (sloping mounting position) cannot be shown. You may
have to calculate your specific application yourself and implement it separ
ately in an individual test.

Please check the following points:
The test force must not be greater than the maximum static holding force
(see chapter Technical data").
The piston rod must not slip through during the examination over a period
of 60 s.
Remedy against sliding through: Adjust the clamping unit again in
accordance with the chapter Commissioning preparation".
Case 1:
Horizontal mounting position
without
additional weight force:
1. Place the piston rod in the retracted end
position.
2. Vent the port

. The clamp is active.
3. Pressurise the cylinder in extending direction with P = 10 bar. That
corresponds to the following test force (for testing with KEC−...):
