6.3.1
I/O process with triggered evaluation mode
In the triggered evaluation mode, exactly one cycle (edge-controlled) is started through a valid signal at
the trigger signal input. A cycle contains the image evaluation and output of the results.
Trigger signals are valid only under the following conditions:
–
Ready for operation output signals logic 1
Image evaluation begins with the trigger signal. During image evaluation, the ready for operation
output signals logic 0.
The results are sent to the outputs no earlier than upon completion of the image evaluation.
The ready for operation output is set for logic 1 only when the results are validly present at all outputs.
The results can now be processed by a higher-order controller (PLC/IPC), for example.
These results remain at the outputs until the next trigger signal.
Signal process with standard settings
The signal process with standard settings of the job parameters in the triggered evaluation mode could
appear as follows.

Function and behaviour of the inputs and outputs are determined at configuration of the job with
the CCS software

Acceptance of the I/O signals by a higher-order controller can be accomplished with the rising edge of
the ready for operation signal

system-related delays.
