Tab. 20: Dimensions for adjusting kit for EHMX-ELGC
1. The slides of the X-module are blocked with motor position left/right. To move the slides for
alignment:
–
For motor with brake: demount the motor.
–
For motor without brake: remove connector terminal at the end of the motor cable.
2. Place the X-axes slowly and carefully on the prepared mounting surface.
Ä
The guide rails are internal.
3. Lightly fix the X-axis with energy chain to the mounting surface using the mounting components.
4. Align the X-axis with the energy chain at the top of the guide.

Check:
–
Evenness
£
0.1 mm × (Hx/1000)
–
Lateral tilt
£
0.1 mm × (By/1000)
5. Fasten the X-axis with energy chain to the mounting surface.
6. Align the second X-axis with the mounted X-axis.

7. Lightly fix the second X-axis to the mounting surface with the mounting components.
8. Align the second X-axis parallel to the mounted X-axis on the upper sides of the guides.
Check the alignment at the height of each position of the mounting components and adjust if
necessary.

9. Fasten the second X-axis to the mounting surface.
10. Check the alignment.
Ä
The guides of the X-axes must lie entirely in a theoretical plane with the required flatness.
The required flatness depends on the size.
11. EHMX-EGC only: open the coupling on one side of the connecting shaft.
