Calculate the skew over the full plate width as follows:
Skew = (A-B) x plate width in mm
Reg pin distance in mm (259, 305 or 470)

Skew should be less than
50
microns on each plate.

Possible skew errors could be caused by poor pull bar alignment -
see the alignment procedure in the
Service Guide
.
5.5.3 Check Image to Punch Crop Accuracy
NOTE: This check only needs to be made if image skew is
noticeable.

heck image to punch crop accuracy as follows:
1.
Expose
4
plates with the 50% tint stock image.
2.
Using a glass or steel ruler (with a x50 eyeglass), measure the
reference lines,
A
and
B
, at the widest crop points of each plate, see
Figure 5.17 on page 5-28
.
You can move the image up or down to allow easier measurement by
using the method in
“Check Image to Top of Plate Accuracy” on
page 5-27
(Step

).
