Hardware Description
The AT-FBUS is a plug-in board that handles communication between
network-configurable devices that comply with the Fieldbus Foundation
H1 specification and a PC AT-compatible computer that has 16-bit ISA
slots. The AT-FBUS uses the Intel 386EX embedded processor, shared
memory, and an interrupt to communicate with its driver. The AT-FBUS
supports the fieldbus transfer rate of 31.25 kb/s.
The single-port AT fieldbus interface is called the AT-FBUS and the
dual-port AT fieldbus interface is called the AT-FBUS/2. In this manual,
the term AT-FBUS refers to both the single-port AT-FBUS board and the
dual-port AT-FBUS/2 board, unless otherwise indicated.
