To change an access code, do the following.
1.
Enter the Installer Code. The panel will automatically access the Main Menu.
2.
Select 6 for the Network Programming Menu.
3.
Select 5 for the Access Codes.
The Display reads:

Press the Up or Down Arrow key, select the Access Code you want to edit.
5.
Then press ENTER.

From the Profile Edit Menu, you can change the users name, access code, and the panel functions to which the user will have
access with their code.

See “Editing Text Using the Built-In Programmer” on page 206 for a list of available characters and their numeric
designators.

Then, press ENTER to finish.

Enter the new Access Code (minimum of 4 digits, maximum of 7 digit).

Press ENTER.
10. Enter the Access Code again. Press ENTER.
Panel Functions
11. Press the up or down arrow key to move the cursor through the list of available functions.
12. Then, press the right arrow key to move the cursor to Y (yes) or N (no) in the selection column.
13. Press the up or down arrow key to select Y or N.
14. Press ENTER.
15. Repeat steps 12 through 15 until the user profile is complete.
6.2.6 Communicator Options
The Communicator Options provide the configuration for reporting events to a Central Station.

From the Main Menu.
2.
Select 6 for the Network Programming.
3.
Press 6 to enter Communicator Options menu.
Communicator Assignments
Each panel on the FCP-300/ECS network specifies which Network Communicator is used for reporting. The Network Com-
municator capability of the FCP-300/ECS System allows all panels to use the same communicator providing an economical
solution to reduce the number of paths required for reporting purposes. A Communicator is specified by the panel number. The
Network Communicators will be used to report the events according to the Communicator Report Table.
Communicator Miscellaneous
When you use the SIA Reporting Format, the Communicator sends information according to the SIA Reporting Type. The
selections for this option are as follows:
1.
pi modifier (default)
2.
Panel ID
Receiver Configuration
The FCP-300/ECS Network can report events to as many as 68 receivers. See Appendix C for panel/receiver relationship num-
bers. Each receiver can be assigned reporting credentials. When using a format that supports phone numbers, it can be up to
forty digits long.

From the Main Menu.
2.
Select 6 for the Network Programming.
3.
Press 6 to enter Communicator Options Menu.
4.
Select 3 for the Receiver Configuration.
5.
Select the Panel to Program and press ENTER.
6.
Enter the Receiver Number to which you want to report. The Receiver Numbers available will correspond with what
panel number you entered. The Receiver Numbers are populated based on the panel number and audited to allow only the
4 appropriate receivers. See Appendix C for receiver number.
NOTE:
Profile 1 (Fire Fighter’s Key) the user name and access code can not be edited. Profile 2 (Installer) the user name and panel
functions can not be edited. Profile 3 (Multi-Site Installer) is defaulted with the Multi-Site access option, but the entire profile can be edited.
