PROBABLE CAUSE
• Excessively long stove pipe run
from furnace flue.
• Too many elbows.
• Insufficient draft.
• Obstructed flue or clogged chim-
ney cap.
• Cresosote build-up.
• Opening the door has provided ad-
ditional oxygen which has ignited ac-
cumulated gases from partially spent
fuel.
• Insufficient natural draft or an
obstruction in the flue system.
• Fire chamber filled to capacity with
unburned fuel.
• Furnace is drawing dirt and disburs-
ing through the home.
• Improper connection to existing
furnace.
• Improperly sized ducting.
• Excessive dirt accumulation in air
filter.
• Inadequate insulation in the home.
• Spin draft not open.
