Battery Information

Adult Installation Required
1.  Open the battery compartment door on the rear of the unit by 

removing the screw with a screwdriver (not included) and lift up.

2.  Insert three (3) “AAA” size batteries (included) following the polarity 

marked inside the battery compartment.

3.  Replace the battery compartment door and screw.

Battery Precautions

Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1.  Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2.  Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as 

indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause 
damage to the device.

3.  Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and 

Carbon zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.

4.   If the batteries in the device are weak/dead or if the device will not 

be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent 
damage or injury from possible battery leakage.

5.  Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can 

overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)

6.   Do not dispose of batteries in a fire; batteries may leak or explode.

Operation

1.  Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
2.  Sing or speak into the microphone.
3.  To add a sound effect, press the EFFECT button once to hear the 

first sound effect and the Flashing Lights will light, twice to hear the 
second sound effect, etc. Continue pressing the EFFECT button to hear 
the six sound effects (Drum, Sound Effect 1, Yeah, Sound Effect 2, 
Guitar, Applause).

4.  To hear/sing along to a demo song and have the Flashing Lights light, 

repeatedly press the SONG button as follows:

5.  Press and hold the Record button for 10 seconds to record.

NOTE:

 The previous recording will be erased when a new recording is 

made.
6.  Press the Play button to hear the recorded sound.
7.  Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position to turn the unit off. 

Recording memory will be erased when turned off.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

 If your mouth is too close to the microphone or if you 

speak/sing too loud, the sound will be distorted or there will be feedback. 
In this case, move your mouth further from the microphone or lower your 
voice until the distortion disappears.

Auto Shut Off

To preserve the batteries, this unit will automatically go into Standby 
mode when not in use. Press any button to resume normal operation.
