Vehicle Seat Belts
Passive Restraint - Lap or Shoulder Belt Mounted
on Door:
DO NOT
use a vehicle seat belt that is
connected to the vehicle door in any way.
These types of seat belts are designed
to automatically surround the occupant
when the door is closed. This type of
vehicle seat belt will
NOT
adequately
restrain the Booster Car Seat.
Passive Restraint - Lap Belt with Motorized
Shoulder Belt:
DO NOT
use a vehicle shoulder belt that
moves along a track. These systems
typically move to surround the occupant
when the door is closed. This type of
vehicle belt system will
NOT
adequately
restrain the Booster Car Seat.
If you have any of the above vehicle seat belt systems,
DO NOT
use it
to secure a child in this Booster Car Seat. Look in the vehicle for a
location that has a Lap/Shoulder Belt system as described in this
manual. You may also contact your vehicle’s manufacturer to inquire
about installing a seat belt system that is adequate to restrain a child in
a Booster Car Seat.
