4. Before first use
Before using the pot for the first time, familiarize yourself with the pot and its
handling and check that the contents of the delivery are complete (see illustration
A). However, some devices are accessory devices.
Opening the pot
See Figure C
Press the operating button (Fig. A-7) on the lid handle in the direction of the arrow and
turn the lid counterclockwise (to the right) as far as it will go. The lid can now be removed.
Positioning aid
There is a metal tab with the inscription „Close“ (Fig. A-14) on the lid and a corresponding
groove (Fig. A-12) in the pot handle. This is to make it easy to put the lid on.
Closing the pot
See Figure D
Put the lid on by holding it at a slight angle, inserting the positioning aid into the groove
on the pot handle, and then lowering it. The correct position of the lid is marked by a circle
symbol on the lid as well as by additional red dots on the positioning aid and pot handle.
When these points line up exactly opposite each other, the lid can be put on.
See Figure E
To close, turn the lid clockwise (to the left) as far as it will go until the pot locks with an
audible „click“.
Locking indicator
See Figure F
You can tell whether the pot is properly closed and ready for use by looking at the locking
indicator (Fig. A-8) in the lid handle.
Green: the pot is closed properly and ready for use.
Red: the pot is not closed properly, so no pressure can be built up.
Cleaning
Before first use, rinse the pot, lid and sealing ring thoroughly. This removes any polishing
dust and small impurities that may still be present.
We recommend treating the pot and lid with a stainless steel care product afterwards.
This makes the stainless steel more resistant to salts and acidic foods. Residues of care
products should always be washed off thoroughly. You can repeat the treatment as
required or when the stainless steel surface has changed visually.
