Mounting control panel
All IP20 control panels have an integrated room-temperature sensor. The latter can be
used when the control panel is mounted at an optimum indoor location for regulating
temperature. All IP54 control panels are supplied with a separate external room tem-
perature sensor.
To install your control panel on the wall or in flush-mounted sockets (in the wall), refer
to the relevant operation manual for the respective control panel. There you will also
find the right drill template.
User instructions!
The installation site of the room temperature sensor is crucial for the precise control
of room temperature. Therefore avoid mounting the sensor in the following locations
(refer to fig. 6-8):
– next to doors, windows, passageways etc., since intense movement of air can
cause incorrect measurements.
– on hot or cold walls (e.g. chimney, outside wall), since the wall temperature can
cause incorrect measurements,
– behind blinds and net curtains, as the insulating layers of air can cause incorrect
measurements.
– immediately near unit discharge grilles, since the discharge temperature can
cause incorrect measurements.
If no optimum mounting location for an IP20 control panel is available, or if an IP54
control panel is supplied, a separate room-temperature sensor or return-air sensor
must be fitted.
This automatically disables all temperature sensors fitted in the control panel.
