IMPORTANT
A
“Device Registration” must be performed every time AFTER you either “Connect” or “Disconnect”
your Communication Card for programming.
If you fail to perform a
“Device Registration” after you have Disconnected your Communication Card
you will see a CRT Fault message on the LCD screen (which can take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to
appear).
1. Connect your Communication Card to the back of the inner door using the ribbon cable supplied to
the
“
Extend Port
” connection. This connection can be made with or without power connected to
the fire panel
2. If your panel has 2 loops fitted, ensure the ribbon cable is also connected to the second loop card
before following any of the next steps
3.
Follow all of the 7 steps on how to perform a Device Registration.
Note: Be sure to press the
“
RESET
” button after the Device Registration has finished to remove the
“
–
“ symbol in the bottom right hand corner.
4. Do your programming using your laptop computer. Note: Training may be required or phone
technical support for assistance with programming.
5. After you have finished doing all of your programming you can unplug the ribbon cable from the
Communication Card. After the Communication Card has been unplugged you must perform
another Device Registration (Follow all of the 7 steps on Page 1. Note: Be sure to press the
“
RESET
” button after the Device Registration has finished to remove the).
