in direct response to the position of the tem-
perature selector knobs and temperature sen-
sor information is eliminated from the ECS
controller logic. The cockpit temperature se-
lector COLD and HOT positions correspond
with the cockpit temperature control valve
fully-closed and fully-open positions, re-
spectively.
If the cockpit or cabin temperature selector
knobs are set too high in the automatic mode,
the corresponding cockpit or cabin over temp
limiter should cause the corresponding CKPT
or CAB TEMP CONT VALVE to close when
the duct temperature reaches 210° F. If either
duct temp limiter fails to stop the temperature
rise in the duct, the corresponding CKPT or
CAB DUCT OVHT CAS will illuminate when
the duct temperature reaches 300° F. At this
point, it will be necessary for the crew to take
checklist action to decrease the duct temper-
ature.
