Resetting Malfunction Effects
The instructor can counteract the effects of an active malfunction for certain aircraft systems by using the
FREEZES/RESETS page.
Although resetting will not cancel or correct the effects a malfunction has on the simulation, it can replenish
certain depleted systems. For example, if the instructor selects the Engine Oil Quantity reset to attempt
to cancel an engine oil leak malfunction, the oil supply will be replenished, however, depending upon
the Malfunction Description, the active malfunction could still be in effect so that the engine will continue
to lose oil.
