The direct entry buttons located below the relative repositions boundary box display the current airport’s
active runways. They are used to select and indicate the runway at which repositions will take place.
The Aircraft Position and Speed boundary box is located on the bottom of the page next to the active
runways button. In this boundary box, the aircraft’s current Speed, Altitude, Heading, Longitude, and
Latitude are displayed. Two overlay buttons, Parameter Slew and Parameter Change, are also found in
this boundary box. These overlays are described in paragraphs 3.3.5. and 3.3.6, respectively.
The Snapshot boundary box consists of one direct entry button and one page button. The direct entry
button, SNAP TAKE, is used to record the aircraft’s altitude, indicated airspeed, heading, date, time and
visual settings at that moment. It can then be recalled from the Snapshot Store/Recall page. Refer to the
Snapshot paragraph. SNAP RECALL is a page button used to access the Snapshot Store/Recall page.
The Speed X boundary box consists of the Speed X data entry button and Speed Reset, Speed X 0.5, and
Speed X2 direct entry buttons. The Speed X data entry button is used to enter a value for accelerating
the passage of simulation time. The speed X 0.5 and speed X2 are predefined values or functions. All
student station indications remain normal, but ground distance and fuel burn reflect amounts including
this time factor. The Speed Reset button will reset (clear) any speed changes that may have been entered.
