Runway Lighting
The Runway Lighting overlay is accessed from the Environment/Visual page by selecting the RUNWAY
LIGHTING button or from the Generic Airport Control overlay by selecting the RUNWAY LIGHTING
overlay button. See Figure 3-43. The overlay is used to set up the visual environment at the selected
Airport. The data entry button shown in the Surfaces boundary box are used to enhance the appearance
of the current runway and airport. The data entry buttons appearing within the Lights boundary box are
used to set the brightness of the airport lights.
Select the desired airport lights data entry button. Enter the desired level of illumination using
the displayed keypad. Valid entries for brightness are from 0 to 5, where zero is off and 5 is
brightest.
The direct entry buttons appearing within the Lights boundary box are used to turn the
respective lighting configurations ON; deselect the illuminated button to turn these lights OFF.
