FREEZES/RESETS
The Freezes/Resets page is accessed by selecting the FREEZES/RESETS collar button or by selecting
the FREEZES/RESETS page button on the Master Index page. See Figure 3-50. The Freezes/Resets page
primarily utilizes direct entry buttons for all of its functions. The page is divided into three main boundary
boxes. These boundary boxes are FREEZES, CRASH, and RESETS. The buttons within the Freezes
boundary box allow the instructor to set or release freezes to all or specific aircraft conditions. The buttons
include Flight, Position, Fuel, and Altitude as well as a Total Freeze. The selected button illuminates
when the freeze is set and returns to normal when the freeze is released.
The Crash boundary box contains a Reset and an Inhibit button and operates like the crash page. Select
the CRASH RESET button to place the aircraft on the ground and to clear crash conditions. Select the
CRASH INHIBIT button to prevent crash conditions from triggering a crash status.
The buttons within the Resets boundary are divided into sub groups of boundary boxes that include
Quantities, Temperatures, Systems, and Other Resets. Each boundary box allows the instructor to reset
all or specific aircraft systems in its boundary box. A Master Reset button is available to reset all systems
in the RESETS boundary box to their default settings.
