The COLLISION BEARING data entry button is used to enter the bearing of the air hazard traffic in
relation to the aircraft. The TIME TO IMPACT data entry button is used to enter how long (in seconds)
before the air hazard collides with the aircraft. The ACTIVATE AIR HAZARD direct entry button will
enable the air hazard when it is selected.
The PAUSE TRAFFIC button, located under the ground hazards will pause the hazard traffic when it is
selected. The RAMP TRAFFIC button turns on random traffic in the ramp area such as baggage carts.
Ramp traffic is only available at certain airports. The ACTIVATE GROUND HAZARD button under the
PAUSE TRAFFIC and RAMP TRAFFIC buttons will enable the ground hazard when it is selected.

Using the Visual Traffic Page
Air Collision Hazards
1) Access the Visual Traffic page.
2) Review the available Air Collision Hazards. Select the direct entry button associated with
the desired hazard. The selected button remains illuminated to indicate which hazard is in
effect.
3) Enter the desired collision bearing angle by selecting the COLLISION BEARING data
entry button and then entering the desired bearing angle on the displayed keypad.
4) Enter the desired time to impact by selecting the TIME TO IMPACT data entry button and
then entering the desired bearing angle on the displayed keypad.
5) Select the ACTIVATE AIR TRAFFIC button. The button displays Deactivate Air
Collision Hazard.
Ground Hazards
1) Access the Visual Traffic page.
2) Review the available Ground Hazards. Select the direct entry button associated with the
desired hazard. The selected button remains illuminated to indicate which hazard is in effect.
3) A default hazard path is selected for the active runways at each airport. The instructor can
change the hazard path by selecting the Hazard Path overlay button and selecting the desired
path for the hazard to follow. The instructor can pause the ground traffic by selecting the
PAUSE TRAFFIC button.
