Adjust HCU NVG Backlight
The Night Vision backlight is adjusted on the HCU with a small screwdriver.
Remove the protecting cap and use a small screwdriver to adjust the light level. This
should only be done when the Night Vision Goggles are used to verify the right light level.
See picture below for location of the adjustment screw.

Flying in icy conditions
The UltraFORCE 350-HD is NOT APPROVED for flying in known icy conditions.
Note:
FLIR Systems Polytech AB is not prohibiting flying in icy conditions, but it’s not recommended from a
performance point of view. Therefore the Operator needs to take the impact of the current weather
conditions into account. The system will [normally] not be mechanically damaged by a limited build-up of
ice on the turret surfaces, however at a certain point the performance of the payloads will be negatively
impacted if ice builds up on the payload windows.
If flying in icy conditions is unavoidable, the system should be powered on to minimize
the effect of ice building up on the TCU surface.
