– Step 2
ATTACHING THE TIRES
1.
Attach (1) tire w/rim to each axle hub w/
valve stem toward the outside of the trailer
frame (see Fig 2A).
2.
Secure with (5) ½-20 lug nuts per rim.
3.
Start all lug nuts by hand to prevent cross
threading with the beveled side of the nut
toward the wheel –and to ensure proper nut
to rim contact.
4.
Tighten the lug nuts in sequence (see Fig.
2B) in stages.
First tighten to 25 FT/LBS, then to 60
FT/LBs, then finally to
80 FT/LBS.
Inflate the tires to 80 PSI maximum.
New wheels should be re-torque after the first
50 to 100 driving miles.
