7 Planning & Installation
This chapter is dedicated to guide how the SIHIdry
Vacuum Pump will be used for integration into
customer sides by comprising the pump stand and the electrical installation into a process system.
7.1 Place of Installation
The vacuum system has been designed exclusively for the place of installation specified in the data
sheet of the IOM. Refer to the data sheet or consult the manufacturer for other places of installation.
The vacuum system is designed in accordance to electromagnetic compatibility to be
used in industrial surrounding, 2

Environment, Category C3.
Caution! Unwanted installation condition must be avoided.
The presence of corrosive and aggressive media should be
as less as possible to hamper the service life of the system.
The place of installation must be adequately ventilated.
Therefore:
Avoid direct rain impact.
Avoid direct snow / ice impact.
Avoid direct sun.
The vacuum system must be positioned on a non-oscillating foundation. It is recommended that lifting
equipment, at least one supporting point for a pulley block, is provided over the vacuum system.
Access within a radius of approximately 35 inch (lateral to the pump) and 25 inch above the pump
casing top should not be blocked for subsequent work on the vacuum system.
