The third stage in the configuration sequence is accessible from the car zone
(fig. 18)
. This stage is not essential in terms
of operating your DSA 500 RT but it does allow the listening parameters to be optimised.
It is reserved for experienced users familiar with the technical concepts involved.
Click on the staging parameters button
(fig. 25)
to access the corresponding configuration screen.
(fig. 26)
This screen shows the consequences of applying delays to the different channels in the audio system. The objective is to
improve the frontal positioning of the soundstage, to reproduce the listening experience enjoyed when listening to a LIVE
broadcast.
The flashing red halo represents the theoretical position of the soundstage within the vehicle. Moving it around illustrates
the effects obtained by introducing a time delay to the left or to the right. The blue halo represents the sound waves issued
from the subwoofer. The variation in intensity of these waves indicates the variation in temporal alignment obtained
between the subwoofer and the front channels when the frequency is spliced.
N.B. this display is intended solely to suggest a result and the consequences of modifying the parameters; the actual
results will depend on the vehicle in which you adjust the parameters, and the dimensions of that vehicle. Do not rely on
the visual obtained when creating your configuration.
