Battery Storage and Charging

 

 

I.

 

Battery Storage

 

 

1. Please do not recharge the battery when it is fully charged.

 

2. It is not allowed to fully discharge the battery with proper discharge rate of 30%~50% and no higher than 80%.

 

3. If the battery is not frequently used, do not charge the battery repeatedly: in this situation it is advisable to charge 
the battery every two months.

 

4. Please charge the battery as soon as possible after it is used. Do not store the battery under low charge condition.

 

5. Do not expose the battery to fire, water, high temperatures (45

) , violent shaking, collision or short circuit. 

 

6. Do not charge the battery for a long time (over 20 hours).

 

 

II.

 

Battery Charging

 

 

1.  After  charging,  please  carefully  check  the  battery  charge  indicator  displayed  in  LED  on  the  joystick  controller  to 
determine if charging is needed.

 

2. Do not use any other charger other than the original manufacturers charger

 

3. How to charge the battery: for your convenience this wheelchair is equipped with two charging ports; one on the 
joystick and one on the battery itself

 

Insert the output end of charger into the charging port of the joystick controller or into the one located in the battery 

box.      The input end should then be plugged into power socket. 

 

The charger’s charging indication light will display a red light and orange light respectively. 

 

4. Please check the charging indication light to determine whether the battery is fully charged. When the orange light 
turns to green, it means the charging process is over.

 

 

Disposing and recycling of used battery 

 

Batteries must always be recycled correctly. Do not dispose of them with your domestic refuge.

 

 

This wheelchair has a 20Ah lithium Ion battery pack. Do not open the battery pack. Always seek the advice of your 
mobility retailer should the battery need replacing. You must only replace with the original manufacturer’s components.
