W-TCP setting
Role of W-TCP
The "W-TCP configuration software" is a "TCP parameter tuning tool" for optimizing TCP/IP
transmission capacity during packet communication in the FOMA network. This software must
be set up as described below to enable full use of the communication capability of the FOMA
terminal.
Setting and canceling optimization
For Windows XP
You can optimize settings for each dialup connection with Windows XP.

Start the "FOMA PC configuration software".

Click [W-TCP

Do the following.
When the system has not been
optimized:
The screen shown on the right is displayed.
Click [

(Optimize)] to open the
"W-TCP
設定(ダイヤルアップ)
(Set W-TCP
(dialup))" screen.
Select the dialup connection to be optimized
and click [
実行
(run)] to optimize the system
settings and dialup settings.
Follow the instructions shown on the screen
to restart the PC to allow optimization to
take effect.
