Making dialup network settings <Packet communication>
This section describes how to set dialup connections and the TCP/IP protocol. For detailed
settings information, contact your Internet service provider or the network administrator.
The setting method may vary depending on the OS.

Dialup connection
For packet communication, dialup connections (APN) are set beforehand. By setting dialup
connections (APN) under registration numbers (cid) 1 to 10 in the dialup connection (APN)
settings, you can start packet communication by specifying a desired registration number.
Setting of dialup connections (APN) is similar to registration of a PC-based phonebook for
packet communication. A comparison to a conventional phonebook is shown below.
For example, when the APN for mopera (mopera.ne.jp) is registered in cid1, you can specify
the dialup connection number "
∗
99

1#" to connect to mopera. Specifying other cids works
similarly.

connects to the same.

The APN for mopera (mopera.ne.jp) is registered in cid1 by default for connecting to mopera,
DoCoMo's Internet connection service.
To connect to Internet service providers other than mopera or company LANs, register the
dialup connections in cid2 to cid10.
