Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
The Instant Seal light is flashing
when trying to seal.
Under very heavy usage, this will happen to prevent overheating. If this happens wait 20 minutes to
allow appliance to cool off. During use, always wait at least 20 seconds before you begin vacuum
packaging another item.
Pump operates for more than 2
minutes without air being removed.
Make sure the open end of the bag is inserted into the drip tray within the lower gasket area.
Check to make sure both gaskets are fitted properly and not damaged.
Check to make sure that at least one end of the bag is sealed.
Open the unit and check to make sure that there are no foreign objects, dirt or debris on the upper or
lower gaskets.
Make sure there is enough room at the top of the bag (75 mm) so it will fit into the drip tray with lid
closed and latched.
Make sure the accessory hose is not attached.
Make sure the lid is fully closed with the latch in the closed position.
Bag is not sealing properly.
There is moisture or grease in the bag at the sealing point. Wipe away any excess moisture with a
clean, dry paper towel.
There is too much liquid in the bag. Freeze the bag contents before vacuuming.
There is a crease on the seal line. Gently stretch the bag flat while inserting the bag into the drip tray
and continue to hold bag until vacuum pump starts. If this has already been done and the bag still
does not seal, create a second seal above the first one.
Nothing happens when the lid is
closed and the Vacuum and Seal
button or Instant Seal button is
pressed.
Make sure the lid is fully closed with the latch in the closed position.
The Power light has gone out when
the lid is closed and the latch is in
the closed position.
If the appliance is left untouched for 12 minutes, it will enter Standby mode and all indicator lights will
remain off. Press the appropriate function button to return to the required mode (e.g. Vacuum and
Seal).
