Use the Instant Seal Button when you want to seal a FoodSaver
Bag before a complete vacuum has been created. This feature is
useful when vacuum packaging fragile items such as bread, baked
goods and berries so they don’t get crushed.
1
Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “1,” “2” or “3”
depending on the contents of the bag.
(See page 12
for instructions.)
2
Open the lid of the appliance.
3
Place the items to be vacuum packaged into the bag.
4
Place the open end of the bag down into the Vacuum Channel.
5
Close the lid.
6
Place your hands on the lid where
it says “PRESS HERE.” Press down
on the lid, then release. The motor
and the green light will turn on as
the vacuum process begins.
7
To stop the process before all the
air is removed, press and release
the Instant Seal Button. The
vacuum will stop within 3 seconds
and the sealing process will begin.
8
The green light will blink as the bag is being sealed. When the
light and the motor turn off, the vacuum process is complete.
9
Open the lid and remove the bag.
NOTE: It takes approximately 2 to 3 seconds to stop the vacuum
process and seal the bag. If you are using a small bag or packaging
a fragile item, we recommend that you press down on the Instant
Seal Button immediately after releasing the lid.

How To Use The Sealing Adjustment Switch
This 5-Position Sealing Adjustment Switch lets you control the
length of the sealing process. Seal times increase according to the
numbered dial, with “1” being the shortest seal time and “3”
being the longest seal time. The switch also allows you to change
the process in order to vacuum package in FoodSaver accessories.
• Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “1” when vacuum
packaging consecutively in FoodSaver Bags to avoid over heating
the Sealing Strip.
• Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “2” for standard vacuum
packaging in FoodSaver Bags.
• Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “3” for vacuum packaging
foods with excess moisture and juices (example: meats, chicken
or fish).
• Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “Accessory” when vacuum
packaging in FoodSaver accessories.
• Set the Sealing Adjustment Switch to “Cut Only” when creating
a FoodSaver Bag from a FoodSaver Roll.
