High Voltage Battery —

Approximately up to 450 Volts

DC

Located under the vehicle. Liquid

cooled lithium ion battery.

Provides High Voltage storage

for the vehicle electric motor and

for the other High Voltage

components.

2

High Voltage Wiring

Runs underneath the vehicle

from the high voltage battery to

the under hood engine

compartment. All High Voltage

wiring is orange in color.

Provides the physical connection

between the High Voltage

system and High Voltage

components.

3

Under hood passenger side of

vehicle.

Convert DC power to 3-Phase

AC power to drive motor.

4

High Voltage Electric Motor /

Front Module Hybrid Unit

Mounted between Engine and

Transmission under vehicle.

Housing electric motor, torque

convertor and clutch to connect

and disconnect the electric

motor. The electric motor

provides traction to the vehicle

and generate power to storage

on the battery.

5

Electronically Controlled

Transmission

Mounted next to the engine

similar to non-hybrid vehicles.

This transmission includes a

hybrid drive unit with a High

Voltage electric motor and a

integral disconnect clutch.

6

Gasoline Engine

Mounted in the engine

compartment similar to non-

hybrid vehicles.

This engine operates similar to

non-hybrid vehicles.

7

Electric A/C Compressor

Located in front of the engine. It

has an orange high-voltage wire

attached to it.

Provides electric A/C operation.

Replaces the belt driven A/C

compressor.

8

DC/DC Converter

Located under the hood on the

passenger side, mounted forward

of and below Inverter System

Controller (ISC).

Provides 12 volts to charge the

12-volt battery and run vehicle

accessories.

9

Component: On Board Generator

Inverter (OBGI)

Located under the vehicle in

forward of the high-voltage

battery on passenger frame rail.

To convert DC power to AC to

power the "Pro-Power On Board"

outlets in the bed and cabin of

vehicle.

10

12 Volt Battery

Located under the hood on the

passenger side of the vehicle.

The battery is a 12V DC source

connected in a negative ground

system and is a voltage stabilizer

for the 12V electrical system.

11

12 Volt Auxiliary Battery

Located under the RH rear seat.

The auxiliary battery provides

support for transient electrical

loads that occur during a crank

event when the main engine

compartment battery is isolated

from the rest of the vehicle and

unable to provide transient

support.
