5.3.1 ADVANCEMENT LEVER ADJUSTMENT
(fig. 1 ref. 8).
This lever acts on a belt stretcher by means of a ten-
sion spring. It is therefore advisable to check it and
adjust it as described below (the belt casing must
have already been dismounted and the engine turned
off):
- fully depress the advancement lever (fig. 1 ref. 8)
and lock it in this position by tying or clamping;
- make sure that the load spring that connects the
idler (fig. 6 ref. 1) lengthens by about 10 mm. Fail-
ing this, adjust by means of the relative adjuster
screw (fig. 1 ref. 9);
- raise the lever in question and move it forwards to
the disengaged position. Now make sure that the
belt does not tend to turn. Do this by pulling the
self-winding rope (fig. 9) after having made sure
that the engine’s cut-out switch is in the “OFF” po-
sition and that the engine cannot be accidentally
started;
- release lever 8 fig. 1.
Warning: no not load the spring beyond the extent
described above as it could weaken and start turn-
ing the belt (fig. 6 ref. 2) even when the lever is in
the disengaged position.
This inspection and possible adjustment should be
repeated after every 100 hours service at least and/or
whenever the operator notes that the lever opposes
less resistance to being engaged.
5.3.2 CHECKING AND CHANGING THE
GEARBOX OIL (fig. 1 ref. 2).
Periodically check the gearbox oil and top it up if nec-
essary.
The oil should be completely changed after every 150
hours service or once a year. Only use EP320 oil. The
oil must be changed when the machine is hot. Allow
the old oil to drain from the drain plug (fig. 5 ref. 1) at
the side of the gearbox. Once the old oil has drained
out, pour in new oil through the plug at the top of the
gearbox (fig. 5 ref. 2) until the level reaches the rela-
tive hole (fig. 4 ref. 4). After the oil has been poured
in and periodically, check its level by means of the
relative plug.
All the level checking and topping up operations must
be carried out with the machine parked on flat ground.
5.4 EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
The operations of extraordinary maintenance are not
mentioned in this manual: however, they shall be per-
formed only by the Manufacturer or by skilled per-
sonnel authorized by the Manufacturer himself.
5.5 SETTING AT REST
In case you foresee a long period of inactivity for the
machine, it is necessary:
- To clean thoroughly all dirt on the machine.
- To check the correct tightening of the screws.
- To check and replace, if necessary, the damaged
or worn parts.
- To coat the ruined or abraded parts with an anti-
trust varnish.
- To lubricate/grease all parts subject to wear.
- To empty the fuel tank and the carburetor com-
pletely.
- To cover the machine with a cloth and put it inside,
away from bad weathers, freezing and humidity.
5.6 MACHINE DISMANTLING
In case you decide to dismantle the machine, you shall
separate its components in equal parts which must
be disposed one by one in compliance with the local
regulations concerning waste disposal.
Dispose the exhausted lubricants and the several de-
tergents, according to their different structure.

for the disposal of the several components, contact
exclusively legally authorized companies that may
issue a regular receipt of the disposal.
5.7 SPARE PARTS
The spare parts of the engine unit must be directly
requested to the engine manufacturer or its dealer.
In order to request the spare parts of the machine,
contact the local Dealer of the Manufacturer.

service and/or spare parts.
