Mechanical loading
For rack installation, make sure the mechanical loading of the FortiGate unit is
evenly distributed to avoid a hazardous condition.
Powering on the FortiGate unit
The FortiGate unit has an on/off switch
To power on the FortiGate unit

Make sure the power switch on the back of the FortiGate unit is turned off.

Connect the AC adapter to the power connection at the back of the FortiGate unit.

Connect the AC adapter to the power cable.

Connect the power cable to a power outlet.

Turn on the power switch.
After a few seconds, SYSTEM STARTING appears on the LCD.
The main menu setting appears on the LCD when the system is running.
The FortiGate unit starts and the Power LEDs light up.
