When using the stir insert, do not operate the appliance at motor speeds exceeding 4.

When removing the strainer basket from the food container, place it on a heat resistant
surface. e. g. casserole stand.
Prior to use
The appliance will not operate if the food container has not been seated properly in the
base unit or if the lid is not closed properly. In this case the display show the symbol
. Please observe that the lid locking lever of the base unit must also be in the cor-
rect position to correctly close the lid.
1. Install the appliance with clear space on a dry, level, solid and heat resistant base.
2. Turn the lid locking lever counter clockwise by 90° and press the unlatching button on the
lid. You can now lift the lid and remove it from the food container.
3. Turn the food container clockwise until the arrow
(on the container) points to the
opened lock
(on the base unit). You can now remove the food container from the base
unit.
4. Select the required insert (see the chapter "Accessories").
5. Place the required foodstuff and spices into the food container and/or strainer basket. Ob-
serve the maximum
fi
lling quantity of 2 l (
MAX
marking in the food container)! If you use the
strainer basket, place it in the food container.
• For some foodstuff e. g. garlic or onions, we recommend to pre-heat the appli-
ance and only to add the foodstuff later on into the food container.
6. Insert the food container into the base unit so that the arrow
(on the container) points
to the opened lock
(on the base unit). Turn the food container counter clockwise until
the arrow
(on the container) points to the closed lock (on the base unit).
7. Now place the lid on the food container so that the latches of
the lid latch into the notches at the top of the food container
(see diagram). Close the lid. The lid must latch in audibly. Turn
the lid locking lever clockwise by 90°.
Preparation
• During preparation you can remove the lid at any time, e. g. to place more food
in the food container. Whenever the lid locking lever on the base unit is opened,
the motor and the preparation time are stopped and the cooking temperature is
switched off. The displays shows the symbol
. When the lid has been replaced
on the appliance and the lid locking lever on the base unit is in the correct position,
the symbol disappears. Now press the
Start/Stop
button. The appliance restarts.
