Using the "Set Gen TC" menu item, you can view the current generator mode, time code value
and userbit value of the internal TC generator, as well as you can edit the time code start time
for the "Rec Run" mode and the userbit value for the "Free Run" mode.

Select the "Set Gen TC" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The screen goes down to the "Set Gen TC" screen. You can view the current generator
mode, time code value and userbit value of the internal TC generator.

Using the "Gen mode" menu item, you can select the generator mode of the internal TC gen-
erator. You can also select the TC frame rate using the quick setup mode.
<Note>:
In the "Gen mode" menu item setting, the "Free Run" and "24H Run" options
are not available when the optional TC/SYNC card is not installed.
When the card is not installed, you can set the LTC recording mode and can select the
"Rec Run" or "Ext Run" option (see page 47).

When recording, the unit records the incoming external time code. If the TC/SYNC card is
not installed or the unit does not receive external time code, the unit always records the
Default LTC start time at the beginning of the file.
When recording, the unit records time code which continues from the last time code value
of the previous audio file. If you change to a new disk which does not have any audio file
and make recording, the unit records time code which continues from the last time code
value of the most recent audio file on the disk previously set (default setting).
When recording, the unit records time code based on the current internal RTC (real-time
clock) time.
When recording, the unit records time code generated by the internal generator which runs
freely.

Use the [MENU] dial to select the desired option, and press the [ENTER/YES] key to confirm
your setting. Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.
Using the "Gen mode" menu item, you can select the generator mode for time code recording.
You can also select the generator mode using the quick setup mode.
Select the "Gen mode" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The current setting starts flashing and you can now select the desired option.
