INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.

Assembling the equipment:

Attach the forestry tong to the tractor’s three-point suspension. 
Adjust the length of the top-link so that the machine will not interfere with the tractor cabin and the winch stands 
straight. 
Check the length of the power take-off shaft both in working position and in transport position and if necessary 
shorten it. 
Insert the cable via the upper pulley and mount on the drum.  Lock the cable to the drum with the cable 
fastener (Item 30, Page 5). Make sure that the cable is properly attached and undamaged. The cable must be 
fully rolled out and coiled up under load before being rolled onto the drum. 
 

Loosen the brake before unwinding the cable: 

Lower the forestry tong until it is standing on the ground, and pull the red cord slowly until the fitting (Pos. 39 
page 3) grips the fitting (Pos. 38 page 3) firmly. 
 

Rewinding the cable: 

Choose a safe place to stand with a clear  
view of the tree trunks. 
Then pull the green cord (Pos. 9 side 1). 
The fitting (Pos. 38 page 3) is released  
automatically when you pull the green cord. 
To prevent unnecessary wear and tear on  
the coupling surface, pull the green cord hard  
enough to ensure that the fitting  
(Pos. 24 page 1) is as illustrated. 
 

 
WARNING!

 When the cable is under load, the brakes must only be released with the red string (Item 39, Page 

3). Keep a safe distance! 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
Hauling:

Attach the log firmly to the chain tree and lift the tractor winch until the ends of the 
logs are free of the ground.
