DANGER!
Read the instruction manual carefully before starting the machine.
The owner is responsible for instructing any users and assistants in how to use the machine.
Warning!
1. The operator must not operate the machine before they know how it is to be used.
2. Keep hands, feet and loose clothing clear of rotating objects on the machine.
3. Before starting work, check the cable for any defects. The use of a defective steel cable
is highly dangerous; parts of the cable may fly in various directions at high speed if it
breaks. Check that there is nobody in the machine’s work area.
4. Check that the PTO is disengaged when the cable is pulled out to the logs.
5.
Logs must never be transported directly on the steel cable; use the winch’s chain
boom (page 8, photo A).
6. Regularly check all moving parts for wear, and that all guards are in place and secure.
7. The machine is designed for skidding and pushing together felled logs that are lying on
the ground, and must not be used for any other purpose. The machine must not be used
to pull vertical trees or fallen trees that are “caught”, as this is highly dangerous.
8. Make sure that you know how to stop the machine and tractor as quickly as possible in
any hazardous situation.
9. Do not permit children and untrained workers to use the machine.
10. Do not wear loose clothes, long sleeves or a tie, or have long hair loose and uncovered in
the immediate vicinity of rotating parts of the machine.
11. The machine and tractor must be sitting on a firm and level surface before work can start.
12.
Operate the winch using the hand-pressure cable controls or by radio control
(accessory available separately)
and maintain a distance of at least 5 metres from the
side of the winch (page 8, photo E).
13. Do not leave the tractor when it is running unless a qualified person is watching it.
14. Only use original spare parts; do not make any changes to the machine design.
15. Inform everyone who uses the machine of the risks associated with its use and how they
can prevent accidents.
16. Stay alert! Do not use the machine if you are sleepy or tired.
17. Do not pull in logs from a sideways angle of more than 30° (page 8, photo C)
18. If the warnings described for the machine and in the instruction manual are not observed
or the machine is not used with care, this could cause severe bodily harm or, in the
worst case, fatal accidents.
19. Do not start the tractor before the log hanging from the chain boom is raised so that it is
off the ground. If the log is not lifted high enough off the ground, the end of the log could
hit a stump or other obstacles, causing the tractor to tip over backwards, resulting in
serious damage.
20. The user and owner must immediately remedy any defects to ensure safe operation at all
times.
