Transport and storage
The unit should be stored in the original packaging, in a dry place, not exposed to weather conditions, with ambient
temperature between -
5°C and +50°C.
The HRUcan be transported by a forklift truck or crane in its normal working position, paying particular attention to
protecting the side surfaces and protruding parts from damage. Make sure that the inspection panels are closed, before
lifting the unit.

Installation
5.1
Place of installation
The OnyX Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) should be installed in a utility room, boiler room, garage, or a room specially
adapted for this purpose. For safety reasons and due to the nature of the device, the HRU must not be operated at an
ambient temperature below
5°C. If the HRU is stored below 5°C
, ensure that its temperature increases above the
minimum value before the start-up. The building in which the unit is to be installed must be seasoned, and all plaster,
paint, and flooring must not be damp. Do not install the unit in rooms where dust level is high (remains of gypsum
plasterboard, floor sanding).
Before installing the HRU, a visual inspection of the general condition of the appliance must be carried out, also checking
the conformity of all the components with the list of sub-assemblies.
Install the HRU on the appropriate platform, wall, or ceiling, on the metal structure ensuring proper load capacity, space
and uniform support for the unit. Since it is required to provide drainage of condensate, the unit should be positioned
in such a way as to install the water trap. Provide a free space on the operating side of such width that allows opening
all inspection panels and carrying out normal operations. Hydraulic, electrical, and similar systems must be located in
such a way as not to hinder access to the HRU.
NOTE
Before installing the device, it is necessary to select appropriate fasteners, taking into account the
current provisions of the building law. Make the appropriate calculations taking into account the
surface parameters onto which the unit is to be installed.
5.2
Assembly procedure
•
Remove packaging
•
Place the HRU on a structure which is in accordance with the guidelines specified in item 5.1
•
Plumb and level the unit
•
Connect ventilation ducts to the unit
•
Make and install a condensate drainage system
•
Install accessories in the ductwork (e.g., a silencer, reheater, cooler etc.)
•
Depending on the configuration, install additional measuring and control equipment for the automation
system
•
Install the control panel
•
Connect power supply to the unit
NOTE
After connecting ventilation ducts to the HRU, the device should operate continuously. In the event of
a planned unit downtime of above two hours, prevent the natural air flow in the ducts by using the
control dampers or automatic control dampers. Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to the unit
resulting from flooding the unit with condensate accumulated in the ventilation ducts.
NOTE
Ventilation ducts must have their own suspensions and their weight cannot be supported on the unit
connectors.
